New glasses. Same Rx. Dizzy.?

Short story: I got a new pair of frames to simply have a backup, second pair. I don't wear contacts. My new pair makes me dizzy and experience slight vertigo when I wear them.

Long story: I experienced this the first time I had the new frames made. I mentioned it before I even left the store. I was told to wear them for a week. I wore them on and off for a week and still wasn't able to enjoy them. I took them back with my previous pair. They did their test on my current and new pair and found out that while the Rx matched, the Axis was off by almost twenty points. They went ahead and recut the new pair to match the Axis of my current pair. I got them back today and they're the exact same as before - dizzying and simply not enjoyable to wear.

Some facts worth including:
-I have been wearing the current pair for four years at all times. I'm not sure of the exact Rx but it's not strong.

-The new frames are definitely larger than the current, including the lenses.

-My lenses on the current pair are cut "funny," being that the lenses stick out beyond the frame in the front. Maybe they were too curved from the start and I got used to this?

-The new lenses are plastic as well but I think are pretty high quality (~$250 for lenses and anti-reflect, pre-discount). I forget the exact name.

So what should I do? I've done some reading and found that sometimes lens material, curvature, length between eyes and lens, and size of frame can be things to consider when the Rx and Axis match. Is there anything else to consider? Will I ever be able to simply swap between both?

Thanks so much!
